Each of my abstract artworks begins not in the studio, but in the living, breathing world—where light shifts, seasons move, and landscapes whisper their silent poetry. Using the technique of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), I transform real-life moments into ethereal visual stories. These works are not digitally layered or artificially constructed to resemble paintings; they are captured in-camera through a dance of motion, timing, and intuition. While I reimagine colour and texture in post-production to bring each piece to life, the essence—the composition, the form, the soul—emerges in the moment of capture. This makes every image unrepeatable and as unique as a hand-painted original.
This is not just photography - it’s an emotional response captured in movement. Whether abstract, black and white, or duotone, every piece becomes a meditative reflection of hidden rhythms—shaped by the breath of nature and the quiet order of structure. No two ICM photographs can ever be recreated because the exact movement of the camera - and therefore of its sensor - during the exposure, together with the changing light and the precise instant of capture, creates an image that is fundamentally unrepeatable. As with a brushstroke on canvas, once captured, each photograph becomes a singular artwork—infused with intention, mystery, and spirit. Inside My Contemporary Darkroom
The photograph does not end when the shutter closes. In my contemporary darkroom, I continue to shape its atmosphere through processes inspired by the rich material history of photography. I work with film-like grain, tonal treatments, photographic plate textures, and subtle traces reminiscent of aged or imperfect negatives — dust, scratches, stains, organic marks, corrosion, and erosion.
I am drawn to these imperfections because they bring something to the photograph that absolute precision cannot: a sense of touch, history, memory, and vulnerability. Grain can soften a surface and give it depth; streaked or corroded photographic plate textures can echo the unpredictable beauty of traditional darkroom processing; scratches, faded marks, and traces of erosion can recall the fragile beauty of an old photographic negative weathered by time.
Each element is introduced with intention and balanced carefully within the composition, allowing texture to respond to the movement, light, colour, and atmosphere already created through ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). Rather than sitting upon the photograph as an effect, these traces become part of its visual and emotional language.
The finished work brings two photographic worlds together — the freedom of contemporary image-making and the tactile, imperfect beauty rooted in analogue photographic tradition. Movement, grain, texture, and traces of time become part of the same expression.

Born in Bulgaria, my Balkan soul found peace in the gentle landscapes of England and creative fire in the ever-moving rhythm of London. I’m simply a citizen of the world—quietly obsessed with light and shadow, colour and texture, form and motion. I see presence in ways I can’t always explain, but through each image, I offer a glimpse into that vision.
There’s no need to know my story when the story lives in the artwork. If something resonates—if a piece stirs, calms, or transforms you—that’s all that truly matters. I choose to stay behind the lens and let the work speak for itself. And I hope, in some way, it speaks to you.
