I felt small, drowned by their arrangement, as if walking at the bottom of a canyon carved not by rivers, but by centuries of human ambition. The air was heavy with stone and glass, yet in the blur of motion, the weight of permanence began to shift into something transient.

At the far end of the street, there was a brightness that caught my attention — a light breaking the canyon’s hold.
